How Pacific Link HR collects, uses and protects personal information.

Who we are

Pacific Link HR is a trade name of 1585184 B.C. Ltd., a British Columbia company ("Pacific Link HR", "we", "us"). We provide remote HR services to owner-operated businesses in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Our privacy contact is Manpreet Kaur, reachable at hello@pacificlinkhr.com.

What we collect

Through this website, we collect only what you choose to give us or what your browser sends automatically:

• Booking details. When you book a call, your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), business name, and any notes you add, plus the time you selected.
• Email messages. Your email address and whatever you include when you write to us.
• Technical data. Basic information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

• To arrange, confirm and prepare for your call, and to send booking reminders.
• To answer your questions and follow up on what you asked about.
• To run, secure and improve the website.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising by other companies.

Consent

By booking a call or contacting us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by emailing us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a booking or service.

Marketing emails

We will only send you marketing or promotional email with your consent, and every such message will include a working way to unsubscribe. Booking confirmations, reminders and replies to your questions are not marketing.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, for example our website host, our booking system (LatePoint), and our email and calendar provider. They may only use it to provide their service to us. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping the booking form working, and may use cookies for anonymous usage statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, including booking, may not work without them.

Client information

If you become a client, you may share employee and business information with us so we can do our work. We handle that information under our Client Services Agreement, which includes confidentiality terms. This policy covers the website.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Booking and enquiry records from people who do not become clients are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, normally within 24 months.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, such as access controls, strong passwords and encrypted connections, to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@pacificlinkhr.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
